Toeplitz blends the acoustic cello of Emilie with the very electric bass of Kasper, in a textural music where the usual notions of instruments, how they are supposed to sound and how one is supposed to play them, disappear. What is left is pure sound texture, sometimes noisy, at other times very calm, in a constant balance between agitation and stillness
